GUESTS WINED AND DINED AT TACA LEXUS PARTY ON THE GREEN TO SUPPORT THE PERFORMING ARTS
Chaired by Ashley Tripplehorn, TACA Lexus Party on the Green was held on Friday, May 21. Sixteen acclaimed chefs from around the world prepared gourmet dishes for more than 500 people who turned out for a glorious evening to sample delicacies including Patagonian Style Braised Leg of Lamb, Citrus-glazed Roasted Duck, Crisp Ahi Tuna Tacos, Raz el Hanout Shrimp, and Nihon-braised Kobe Style Beef Short Ribs. Participants tried their luck at a wine cork pull for chances to receive some rare wines.
For the most money raised during the silent auction created by the chefs, Chef Victor Palma received the Golden Skillet Award for his Los Cabos Beach Retreat auction package. The winner will spend three nights at one of the most acclaimed resorts ever, Las Ventanas al Paraiso, A Rosewood Resort, with air transportation provided by American Airlines.
Local radio personalities Gene and Julie Gates kept the silent auction bidding spirited and interviewed the celebrity chefs on stage. Entertainment was provided by the Dallas Wind Symphony, Sammons Jazz Trio, Pianist and Vocalist Kristin Yost and DJ Jennifer Miller & DJ Paul Paredes.
LEXUS WINNER ANNOUNCED!
At the conclusion of the evening, the lucky winner of the 2010 Lexus HS 250h was drawn. Troy Schiermeyer drove home the luxurious, efficient and innovative vehicle.
